St. John's Wort Tincture

St. John’s Wort is a hardy perennial that loves to grow where the land has been disturbed, along roadsides, in open meadows, and in wild edges. Originally from Europe, it now grows all across temperate regions of the world. Its bright yellow flowers look like little drops of sunlight, and they’re traditionally harvested right as the plant begins to bloom around St. John’s Day on June 24. It keeps offering flowers all summer long, giving plenty of opportunity for gathering.

Hypericum perforatum has been used in western herbal traditions for generations. St. John’s wort is well known for supporting a balanced mood and emotional well-being.* People typically use it as a tea, an infused oil, or an extract.
